Part II:
Since I am studying at Griffith University as an exchange student, I have been using different kinds of new communication technologies to communicate with my family and friends back home. I have been using mobile phone, facebook, skype, e-mail and cyworld (Korean version of facebook) the most.
I cannot really remember how long I have been using these technologies but it has been more than 5 years. I started to use all these kinds of communication technologies because people around me started using them. Everyone around me started to talk about new communication technologies and so I decided to use them because it was a trend. Also, once I started to using them, they were so convenient.
Most of the Korean websites ask people a resident registration number, which is really important, when making an account. And there was a recent privacy issue of cyworld. personal information of cyworld's 35 million users were hacked. I was worried about how my privacy was going to be used.
